Troubleshooting tips
----------------------------
You may notice that Deer's Revenge performs sluggishly if you have too
many applications running on your PC. Try closing some applications and
running Deer's Revenge again to improve the performance. If the problem
persists, you can try downloading the latest DirectX drivers from
www.microsoft.com.
If you are having trouble with sound or graphics, such as no audio, or error
messages upon trying to launch Deer's Revenge, you can try downloading
the latest DirectX drivers from www.microsoft.com. Also, you can find
drivers for many graphics and audio cards at www.windrivers.com.
If the cursor leaves trails as you move it, add the following INI setting to
the [App] section of DREVENGE.INI which can be found in your
C:\WINDOWS directory:
CursorThread=0
If you are still having graphical problem, and have download the latest drivers
for your video card, you can turn off the game's use of DirectDraw with the
following INI setting (again under the [App] Section of DREVENGE.INI in C:\WINDOWS):
UseDirectDraw=0
If you do this, you will need to manually switch your display mode to 640x480x16bit color.
If you experience sharp pains in one of your eyes while sipping your hot
Cocoa, try removing the spoon from the cup before you sip. If the problem
persists, you can try downloading the latest DirectX drivers from
www.microsoft.com.
